OUR MINISTRIES

MINISTRY (HOW WE SERVE)

Back in the days, the popular slogan was “there is no fighting in the church, you pray and I say Amen.” The pew was cold, the members were idle, the pastor did all the work, at least all he could do. But that was a departure from the New Testament model of the church. When I became born again, I discover that Christians have responsibility to serve, to discover and develop their spiritual gifts, and talents, and use them for benefit of the body of Christ and their community. The tide has changed or is changing everywhere. President Barack Obama emphasizes community service every time he has the opportunity. Look at where community service landed him. The New Testament model is for the saints to be equipped for service. (Eph. 4:12-16) The Gospel Faith Mission International takes this aspect of Ecclesia very serious. At House of Mercy, we train the members to discover, develop their gifts and potentials, and we deploy them to serve.

Opportunity to Grow: As you read the various departments available, consider how you might benefit from using your gifts and talents to bless others. Serving will help you to grow spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. It will bring out the leadership quality in you. Our available avenue to serve will continue to expand. We encourage you to bring your ministry ideas and we will support you and help you to prosper in the areas of your gifting.
